Aborted Macular Hole

This patient presented with complaints of blurred vision and Òsoccer ballÓ object in line of vision for 6 months. Initial exam showed a normal anterior segment with early cataracts and normal fundus right eye. The left eye fundus revealed a small yellow operculum (teal arrow on all panels) with a self-sealing macula hole (yellow panel). On the two-month follow up the macula hole (Panel B, yellow arrow) is smaller than at the initial visit. The 4-month follow up shows a closed macula hole (Panel C, yellow arrow).
