Branch Retinal Artery Occlusion

You should look at the Normal Retina photo first for comparison. The artery to the bottom half of the retina has a white blockage, which you can see by looking at the optic disk. This white material is chipped off atherosclerotic material from the carotid artery in the neck, which has flowed downstream until it came to an artery too small to get past.
