Old arterial macroaneurysm with development of new arterial macroaneurysm

Color fundus photos and frames from fluorescein angiograms in a patient with arteriolar macro aneurysms of the left eye. A new aneurysm developed under observation. The color fundus photo and fluorescein angiogram from 2013 show a ruptured arteriolar macroaneurysm with surrounding sub and pre retinal hemorrhage (green arrows). The 2014 frames show a regressed arteriolar macro aneurysm with scarring (green arrow). The 2014 photos also reveal a new arteriolar macroaneurysm (yellow arrow in both color fundus and fluorescein angiogram). If you compare the fluorescein angiograms from 2013 and 2014, you can see that there is no indication of an aneurysm at this new site at first presentation in 2013. Laser ablation was recommended and scheduled.
