Multifocal Electroretinography in Diffuse Unilateral Subacute Neuroretinitis

The subretinal nematode in diffuse unilateral subacute neuroretinitis damages photoreceptors, producing loss of visual field and decreased amplitudes on electroretinography. This is the multifocal electroretinogram of the patient with advanced DUSN illustrated in the Information Document, figures 3 and 4. The multifocal electroretinogram of the right eye (left side of the image) is normal. That of the left eye (right side of the image) shows diminished waveform amplitudes. The waves surrounded by the red ellipse are much smaller than those surrounded by the green ellipse. The ring averages on the left (red circle) are much smaller than on the right (green circle). Excellent waveform morphology is present for the right eye (purple arrow), but disorganized morphology for the left eye (turquoise arrow)
