Choroidal Nevus - Amelanotic

You should look at the Choroidal Nevus photo first for comparison. Sometimes a nevus, or mole, is not pigmented. These appear as lightly colored lesions under the retina, as in this photo. These are monitored over time to make sure they do not transform into melanomas, a rare event. To learn more, read the brochure Choroidal Nevi under the heading Information.
