Choroidal Osteoma: Follow-up with Spontaneous Decalcification

Please look at the image entitled "Normal Fundus - Retina" first for reference. This fundus photograph shows scarring of the retinal pigment epithelium around the optic disk resulting from spontaneous decalcification of a choroidal osteoma surrounding the optic disk. This follow-up photograph was taken 6 years after the photograph in the Images Section entitled "Choroidal Osteoma - Peripapillary". The reason for the spontaneous decalcification is unknown.
