Vitreomacular Traction

This is a SD-OCT of a 70-year old male, who presented upon referral for evaluation of a macular pucker in the left eye. At the time of the exam, OCT revealed a macular pucker (yellow arrow), with pronounced vitreo-macular traction (orange arrows). Notice the tenting of the macula where the vitreous strands connect, and the loss of foveal depression. Vision at this time was 20/32, and it was recommended to observe, rather than surgery, to see if the traction releases.
