AZOOR (Acute Zonal Occult Outer Retinopathy)
This disease is usually found in young, otherwise healthy individuals often following a viral infection. Those diagnosed with AZOOR have visual field defects that are associated with areas of retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) atrophy. Ancillary testing is often used to distinguish AZOOR from other conditions that may share similar signs and symptoms. See the information document in this section for further details.
