White Without Pressure

This fundus photograph shows a typical appearance of white without pressure. The sharply demarcated border is indicated by the yellow arrow. White without pressure is more commonly seen in younger patients and is easier to appreciate in a dark fundus. This patient was 12 years old, had no symptoms, but was referred by her optometrist after he noted this change on routine dilated fundus examination.
