Serpiginous Choroiditis
Serpiginous Choroiditis is an inflammatory condition of the outer retina that affects adults of both sexes. The lesions typically begin at the edge of the optic nerve and spread outward over the course of recurrences. The cause is unknown, but thought to be an autoimmune disease. Treatment consists of immune modulating therapy after excluding possible infections that can masquerade as Serpiginous Choroiditis.
