Combined Hamartoma of retina pigment epithelium

Combined hamartoma of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium is a congenital condition describing the presence of abnormal fibrotic and pigmented tissue within and on the surface of the retina. These color fundus photos are of the right eye in a 36 year old woman who has combined hamartoma of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium. She originally complained of seeing floaters unrelated to the condition. Upon examination, her right eye vision was 20/20 with a single, mild unilateral lesion in the periphery extending towards the optic disc. No treatment was given due to its nonprogressive, benign nature.
