Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy - Peripheral Neovascularization
53-year old female, presenting from her optometrist for evaluation of vitreomacular traction in the left eye. Examination did reveal traction in the macula of the left eye, along with areas of proliferative diabetic retinopathy in the far periphery of each eye. Optos Fluoresceine angiography shows neovascularization (green circles) in the far periphery of both eyes. You can see the areas of hyperfluoresence, noting the abnormal blood vessels.
