Vitreoschisis Associated with Posterior Vitreous Detachment
SD‐OCT of the left eye, of a patient sent for diabetic evaluation. Secondary to diabetic findings, the OCT revealed vitreschisis. The yellow arrow shows attachment of the vitreous face to the posterior hyaloid, and the red arrow shows a small break in the hyaloids and vitreous. The green arrow indicates the posterior face of the vitreous. Unlike a posterior vitreous detachment, the vitreous is not pulling away from the retina with vitreoschisis. Instead, there it is a pocket in between the vitreous and retina.
