Hydroxychloroquine Retinopathy - Misinterpretation of Visual Fields, Part B

Please see part A of the series first. Follow-up visual fields are shown in this image. The visual fields from 2006 and 2007 are the same, but the visual field from 2008 is different and represents hydroxychloroquine toxicity superimposed on the baseline neurologic visual field deficit. This was not recognized by the screening ophthalmologist and the patient was allowed to continue on the drug. See parts C-F for follow-up consequences.
