Hydroxychloroquine Retinopathy - Misinterpretation of Visual Fields, Part E
Please see parts A-D of this series first. This image of the time domain OCT shows macular atrophy in both eyes. The centerpoint thickness (CPT) is < 100 microns bilaterally, which is abnormally low. Time domain OCT does not show the retina layers well, whereas spectral domain OCT does. Still, one can appreciate in these images that the retinal pigment epithelium and photoreceptor layers perifoveally are not normal as reflected in decreased reflectivity in these locations and greater signal arising from the underlying choroid.
