Radiation Retinopathy and Optic Neuropathy

Radiation Retinopathy and Optic Neuropathy occur when certain diseases of the head, particularly cancer, require treatment with x-rays or protons. This treatment may cause damage to the eye or optic nerve. This document will discuss the anatomy of the eye and what is effected, what the patient experiences, and treatment for the condition.
